#11 Challenge Joan's Garden

Another week and another challenge. This card seems Christmasie to me. There is still snow on the ground so I believe it is legal! This week the challenge is to use a square, revamp something and use flowery paper.
Here's my card:

I revamped two things on this card. The Forever rectangle is from a book of stamps. I also used a cupcake liner -it's green with white dots and folded it two times.
The Brown flowery background is a Cover-A-Card Tapestry 2 from Impression Obsession. Joan can order IO products.
The two Red Bows are from Memory Box and you can get it at Joan's and is called Crisp Bows.
The square is a Spellbinders Postage Stamps die.
The Pine Branch is also from Impression Obsession and can be ordered at Joan's.

#10 Challenge Joan's Garden

This is # 10 challenge for Joan's Garden. It is a bit different than the other challenges.  The rules for entering are to create a card using lace, flowers, pearls and an embossing folder. The card should also be Black and White. Here's my card:

The embossing folder is from Darice and can be found at Crafters Companion. I inked up the folder with Black dye ink and then took a rag and wiped it clean, put in a white card and dry embossed with my Big Shot. It tuned out to be a light gray. I adhered some white lace to the left side of the card with a glue stick.
I added three white paper flowers with black brads. I also added three stamped images and they are all from Impression Obsession. The bird was inked with Black dye ink and then swished back and forth onto an acrylic block before I cut it out and mounted it. The White Fringe Circle is a die from Memory Box and can be found on Joan's  site. I also used a corner punch on two corners at the right sides. Pearls were added above the Daisy stamp.
For more challenge cards and to see Joan's products go here.
What is different about this challenge is that we get to vote. Anyone who enters a card votes-no randomn drawing. Come join in the fun and vote for your favortite card!

#9 Challenge Joan's Garden

This week the challenge at Joan's Garden is to create a Garden Theme. I chose a Dandelion Folder to start my project. Once the dandelions come it's spring and time to garden.  We have piles of snow but it is now raining and they will not last long. We all cross our fingers so no more snowstorms come. Here's my card:

I colored the Dandelion plastic folder with Dried Marigold dye ink, inserted a sheet of white paper and put it through my Big Shot machine. The folder is from Darice at Crafter's Companion.
The flower pots, shovel, small butterfly and photo corners are all punches. Also, the two green round edged pieces of cardstock (sticking out at the center of the card) are punched out with a word punch.
The Gate and Tag are dies from Impression Obsession. The Watering Can is a stamp from IO.
The Grass is a Sizzix die.
Spring is Sprung is a stamp from Savvy.
I also added a mini green brad, a paper flower with a mini orange brad and strings for the tag.

IO Favorite Technique Challenge

The challenge over at Impression Obsession this week is to make a card using your favorite technique. I ended up doing two techniques, tho they are quite similar. Here they are:

IO stamps used: Love Birds Solid #D8674, Solid Oval Tag #C8179, Cherry Blossom Branch Solid #H8908, Floral Trio #B8929 and C-A-C Solid #41CC094.

IO dies used: Twig Wreath Set #DIE023-X, Butterfly Set #DIE046-A and Branch #DIE007-L.

I used two different techniques to make this card. I took the Love Birds stamp and inked it with Navy dye ink and swished it back and forth onto an acylic block. You could also use a piece of glass.  It was then stamped onto White cardstock and cut out.  It will remove some of the color.
The second technique I used was to ink the Cover-A-Card Solid with Navy dye ink and then take the Floral Trio (uninked) and swish back and forth all over the inked surface. It again will remove some of the color and leave a neat design of the flowers. I also did the same thing with the Solid Oval Tag.

#8 Challenge Joan's Garden

This weeks challenge at Joan's Garden is to create a card using some lattice, use a circle or oval die, use flowers that have been painted or inked and finally do some dry embossing that has been inked.
Here's my card:

I used a Sizzix Fancy Frame in both pink and white. The lattice is a Memory Box (Piestra Tile) border die that was cut out two times side by side. I used a glue stick to adhere it to the underside of the larger Oval  (pink) frame and then trimmed it to fit. The dry embossed folder (Darice) is called Multi Circles and is from Crafter's Companion. The flowers and corners are all punches. I also added small pink brads to the flowers and corners.
