Froggie Love

Happy Saturday from Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes and balmy winters! We have had the mildest winter I can remember. I get to take lots of walks this winter with my furry friends. Check them out to the right and below.  Smokey, our husky has been eating our chickens all winter! I started out with 25 and now have 9....He's in big trouble! On to the card....
Today's card uses Anthony and Burt stamps. This may seem more valentine to you but why not use it for an anniversary card, a card for your significant other or someone you truly care about....I used the Spectrum Noir markers for this card and the colors are shown below. I used the lightest Pink, PL1 to make the dots in the heart. Hope you enjoyed the photos. If you have trouble with or don't think you can color with these markers, watch the Spectrum Noir video. She has many tips and how to's in her video. You'll love it! Go to the Crafter's Companion site to find all of these products.

Fuscias For You

Happy Saturday! Today I have another card for you from the set Paint Fusion  by Sheena Douglas. Last week I used the Distressed inks direct to paper. Today I also used the Distressed inks again with a blender pen. I picked up the colors from the ink pads and colored. Just another way to use the ink pads and color. I also used  India ink to stamp each of the images.

Hope you enjoyed the card. To win a $100  gift certificate from Crafter's  Companion scroll down until you see the details. See you next Saturday.

Orange Blossom

Hi. It's Saturday February 11th and I have a new card for you from Paint Fusion by Sheena Douglas. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color my images. You'll find both products and more on the Crafter's Companion site. Directions are below the cards.

1. Stamp all images onto white matte coated cardstock using dark brown dye ink. Rub the flowers first with Dried Marigold and then Marmalade inks. Rub the leaves with Mustard Seed and then Peeled Paint inks. Cut out all of the stamped images.
2. For the flower circle use one of the leaves and punch out with circle punch. Punch out a larger light yellow scalloped circle and adhere together. Punch a hole for the brad and insert. Set aside.
3. Trim a yellow and blue specialty paper and use stitch punch at all sides of the blue. Layer together. Also, make strips using the same papers and use stitch punch at sides of the yellow. Layer strips together and punch holes for brads at the top and bottom and insert. Layer strips to the right side of a folded light cream textured card. Layer other pieces to the left side.
4. Mount leaves first and then the two orange flowers. Layer circles underneath white die cut. Slip stamens into flowers and leaves using small pieces of mounting tape.

Hope you enjoyed this card. Visit the other designer's cards and check out the $100 give away-the details can be found by scrolling down to two Saturday's ago.

Thinking of You Collage

Hello and it's Saturday February 4th and I have another card for you from the new Stamp It-Australia collection at Crafter"s Comapnion. These stamps are really fun. I made a collage type card using several of the images from this collection. I also used a sentiment from another set called Fairyopolis. Some sets do not have sentiments so you have to do this! It's fun to mix and match sets.

I stamped all my images onto white card stock using brown dye ink. The images were cut out or trimmed. I layered a trimmed page from an old book to a White panel. This panel was scored at all sides using the Crafter's Companion Ultimate Tool. I simply laid the white panels back side onto onto a half section of one of the grooves and scored it using the tool provided. I did this to all sides. It adds some interest to the card. I also did this to the folded White base card and then added more grooves.
The page from the book was adhered using a glue stick. All of the images were mounted as shown. I added a metallic photo corner to the upper left side, a metallic tag with a matching brad and a paper flower with a brad and twine. I also added some cute little paper clips. The white card was layered to a brown card and then a larger rust card. All were layered to the  folded white card.  Hope you enjoyed the whole process of putting this card together as me. See you next Saturday and check out the other designer cards too.
