Hello and happy Saturday. Today I have a card for you from the Beatrix Potter collection. It's a cute little squirrel and I colored the coat in pink. I used just two shades of the Spectrum Noir Markers to color the coat.
Here's the card:
I was thinking this would make a nice Thinking of You card for a cancer patient because of the "pink" in it. Otherwise it would just be a nice card to send to a friend. For a more detailed description visit the CC Blog (you'll find it on the side bar) and also the other designer's cards. See you next Saturday.

Travelling Folder card
Hello and happy Saturday. Today I have a card for you from Sheena Douglas's Destination set. It's a Travelling Folder Card. It's meant to send to someone who is going on a trip. This was really fun to make and also fun to think about all the things I could stick in the folder for the traveller. See what you think:
Score a 9 by 7 Tan card at 4 1/2 and 5 3/4. Cut the V in bottom center as shown.
Here are the goodies inside the folder. A bookmark (gotta read a book on the plane) some stamps for sending home a postcard, a gift certificate to eat a meal and of course some good old cash! To the left is a card that says "Have Fun" inside.
This is the card inside the folder. I sponged the same inks as I did on the bookmark and also added the same travel ribbon.
Above is the cover of the folder. The same inks were sponged on a cream card for the background. The image was split and then layered to lighter cream cards and then mounted with the twine. The corners were notched at two opposite ends and then the card was layered to a darker brown card and then to the folder.
This was really fun to make. Hope you enjoyed it and stop back next Saturday. Be sure to check out the other designer's cards.

I used paper clips to hold the flaps. Staples would work too. I added the "Happiness" quote to the top left and the "To Sail" quote to the bottom right flap. I also added "Travel" using alphabet tags to the left flap.

Happy Birthday Traveller
Hello and happy Saturday. It's March 3rd and I have a new card for you from Stamp It. I love these images. There is just so much you can do with them. I used them in a layered look to send to a Birthday person. All were stamped on some cream specialty paper which gives them depth. I can see cutting apart the squares of images below the "Traveller" image. That's another card.... I used some neat antique looking brads and closures to capture the feel of the card.. Hope you enjoyed it.
Stop by next Saturday and be sure to check out the other designer's cards.

Smiling in the Rain
Hello, and happy Saturday. Today I have another Anthony & Burt card for you. You can find these adorable stamps and other fine products on the Crafter's Companion site. I used the Spectrum Noir Markers to color this image. They also have a very good video on how to use the markers. I found it very informative. You can see the markers I used for this image below.
Hope you enjoyed the card and stop by next Saturday. Be sure to check out the other designer's cards.
